Overview
Potassium tert-butoxide is a widely used strong, non-nucleophilic base in organic chemistry. It is commonly abbreviated as t-BuOK. Reactivity and Handling

It is incompatible with strong oxidizers, acids, and protic solvents. Fire extinguishing media: dry powder, carbon dioxide, or sand – do not use water or foam.
Storage
Store in tightly sealed containers under inert gas, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources and oxidizing agents. Keep separated from acids and moisture.
