Product Overview
PT-A is a high-molecular-weight polyurea-based thickening agent designed to modify the rheological properties of oil dispersions, creams, and lubricating greases. It forms an associative network through hydrogen bonding and physical crosslinks, effectively increasing viscosity, improving stability, and providing thixotropic behavior. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including greases, cosmetics, and high-viscosity industrial systems.

When used at 10% concentration in base oils, PT-A provides the following typical properties:

  • Base oil (500N): Kinematic viscosity at 40°C – 90.64 mm²/s; at 100°C – 10.42 mm²/s; Viscosity Index – 96. Worked cone penetration – 267 (0.1 mm); Dropping point – 309°C; Copper strip corrosion – Pass; Oil separation (24h at 100°C) – 0.9%.

  • Base oil (PAO10): Kinematic viscosity at 40°C – 62.49 mm²/s; at 100°C – 10.29 mm²/s; Viscosity Index – 153. Worked cone penetration – 295 (0.1 mm); Dropping point – 307°C; Copper strip corrosion – Pass; Oil separation (24h at 100°C) – 1.3%.
