Product Name: Halogen-Free Flame Retardant – Piperazine Pyrophosphate (GKL-102 Series)
Description
The GKL-102 series is piperazine pyrophosphate – an environmentally friendly, halogen-free flame retardant containing both carbon and acid components. It can be used as an effective intumescent flame retardant (with or without additional gas and acid sources), allowing certain polymers to pass:
UL94 V-0 (0.75 mm)
GWIT 750°C
GWFI 960°C
It is not subject to RoHS Directive or REACH Regulation restrictions.
Features
Very high molding efficiency and excellent flame retardant performance
Can be used together with many flame retardant monomers for synergistic effects
High decomposition temperature provides a wide processing temperature range
Good migration resistance
Lower smoke density
Lower smoke toxicity
Applications
There is a synergistic effect between GKL-102 and MPP, MCA, aluminum hydroxide, and others. Suitable for flame retardant formulations of:
Polypropylene (PP)
Polyethylene (PE)
Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA)
Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE)
Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)
Other thermoplastic materials (with or without glass fiber reinforcement)
Notes
With adequate plasticization, a lower processing temperature is recommended to achieve the best overall performance.
Fillers and pigments such as calcium carbonate and carbon black may have negative effects on the flame retardant properties.
Packaging and Storage
25 kg per package. Transport as conventional chemical products. Store in a dry place, avoid direct sunlight.
