Overview
GK-102 is an organic intermediate with an alkyl imidazoline structure, synthesized from oleic acid and organic amine at temperatures above 220°C. It is an effective oil-soluble, adsorption-type corrosion inhibitor designed to protect metal surfaces in various aggressive environments.

Mechanism of Action
As an adsorption-type inhibitor, GK-102 forms a protective molecular film on metal surfaces through its polar imidazoline head group, while the hydrophobic hydrocarbon tail provides a barrier against corrosive media such as water, acids, and dissolved gases.

Applications

  1. Oil and gas industry: Corrosion protection during crude oil and natural gas extraction, gathering, and transportation.

  2. Petroleum refining: Protection of low-temperature condensing cooling sections in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, catalytic cracking, and hydrotreating equipment.

  3. Metal processing: Corrosion inhibition for equipment used in pickling, electroplating, and mechanical machining operations.

Application Method
GK-102 can be diluted with solvents such as alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons, or mineral oil. It can also be used in combination with other corrosion inhibitors for enhanced performance. Typical dosage ranges from 10 to 500 ppm, depending on the severity of the corrosive environment.

Storage and Handling
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources and strong oxidizers. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent contamination.

Safety
Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) when handling.

Packaging
Available in drums and bulk containers. Custom packaging upon request.
