Description

BHA (commonly known as butylated hydroxytoluene – note: this differs from BHT) is a mixture of two isomers: 2-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole and 3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole. It has excellent solubility in oils and fats and is well "carried over" into baked and fried foods. BHA provides excellent stability for various foods, fats, oils, and food packaging materials. It is approved for use in many countries and regions, including the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, and others.
