Anti-Corrosion Graphene Additive – High-Performance Material for Protective Coatings
Product Overview
This graphene-based additive is specifically designed for use in high-performance anti-corrosion coatings. Its unique two-dimensional structure and high specific surface area enable the formation of a dense physical barrier layer that effectively blocks the penetration of corrosive media (water, oxygen, ions) to the metal substrate. In zinc-rich primers, it activates zinc particles and provides a synergistic effect through its excellent electrical conductivity, significantly improving cathodic protection while allowing reduction of zinc dust loading.
Key Performance Features
Physical barrier: Forms a dense, impermeable layer due to high specific surface area and ultra-thin planar structure, greatly enhancing corrosion resistance.
Zinc activation: Enhances the electrical connectivity between zinc particles, improving the efficiency of cathodic protection and enabling lower zinc dust content in the coating.
Adhesion improvement: Increases coating adhesion to the substrate, reducing film thickness while maintaining or improving performance.
Wear resistance: Makes the film more durable and extends service life.
Corrosion resistance: Significantly enhances overall anti-corrosion properties, even at reduced zinc levels.
Applications
Suitable for all types of heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, including:
High-zinc epoxy primers (chromium-free formulations).
Dacromet (zinc-aluminum flake) coatings.
Other zinc-rich or barrier-type protective systems.
Handling and Storage
Wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves to avoid direct skin contact. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Use proper dust control measures (ventilation, dust collectors) to avoid inhalation.
Handle with care to prevent damage to packaging.
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources, strong reducing agents, and flammable materials.
Keep away from moisture – product is moisture-sensitive. If moisture absorption occurs, dry at 80°C for several hours with outer packaging removed (keep inner paper valve intact) before use.
Use promptly after opening; reseal unused portions tightly.
Transport
Protect from sunlight, rain, and physical damage.
Keep away from heat sources and corrosive materials during transport.
Handle gently to avoid package rupture.
Shelf Life
Long-term storage is possible under recommended conditions. For moisture-sensitive applications, drying before use is advised if strict moisture control is required.
Packaging
Available in standard packaging sizes (e.g., 1 kg, 5 kg, 25 kg containers) and custom packaging upon request.
Quality Assurance
Each batch is tested for particle size, specific surface area, electrical conductivity, and dispersion performance to ensure consistent coating performance.
