GKlink P-1000 – Aliphatic Diamine Chain Extender for High-Performance Polyurethane Elastomers

Basic Information

  • Chemical Name: Polytetramethylene oxide di-p-aminobenzoate (aliphatic diamine with ether and ester segments)

  • CAS Number: 54667-43-5

  • Appearance: Viscous liquid

  • Series: GKlink P-1000, P-650, and P-250 – aliphatic diamine chain extenders (curing agents) containing flexible ether segments and ester groups.

Overview
The GKlink P‑series (P‑1000, P‑650, and P‑250) are aliphatic diamine chain extenders designed for polyurethane systems. They offer good flexibility, low toxicity, and enhanced UV stability compared to aromatic analogs. Their molecular structures are similar to GKlink 740M, which is FDA‑approved for food-contact applications, making the P‑series suitable for applications where low toxicity is required.

Key Performance Features

  • Good tensile strength and abrasion resistance in cured polyurethane elastomers.

  • Excellent thermal stability and heat aging resistance.

  • Good adhesion to various substrates.

  • Low shrinkage during curing.

  • Low toxicity and improved UV resistance (less yellowing).

  • Easy to mix with TDI or MDI prepolymers at room temperature for casting and curing.

Applications

  • Cast polyurethane elastomers (solids and microcellular).

  • Coatings, adhesives, and sealants.

  • Sprayable formulations.

  • Room‑temperature vulcanization (RTV) systems – simplifies processing and provides superior performance compared to heat‑cured MDI/diol systems.

  • Ideal for on‑site processing due to ease of use.

Advantages
Room‑temperature curing with GKlink P‑1000 simplifies processing while delivering high final properties. The resulting polyurethane elastomers exhibit a low coefficient of shrinkage and good flexibility.

Handling and Storage

  • Store in a well‑ventilated, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent moisture ingress.

  • Shelf life: 1 year. If stored longer, the product may still be usable provided key performance specifications are met.

Packaging
Available in 20 kg or 50 kg net in galvanized iron or plastic drums. Custom packaging upon request.

Quality Assurance
Each batch is tested for amine value, moisture content, and viscosity to ensure consistent curing performance.
